KRIS MAY
Harvesting Supervisor

Kris brings 20 years experience in the logging industry. Among the many area’s he’s worked in, he’s focused primarily on falling, cable yarding and salvage. Over the last several years this has also included managing worksites and crews with a detailed eye for safety and attention to quality work. His experience brings a level of merit to our harvesting practices with multiple training certificates that include certification as a falling supervisor and forest supervisor as recognized by WCB and the BC Forest Safety Council.


DANNY ROBERTSON
Business Strategy and Support

Danny is a community minded business owner who has many years of entrepreneurship experience through owning and running local companies in the tourism and marine service industries. In addition he has created youth and adult community based training initiatives for School District 50, the Skidegate Band Council and the Province of BC in cultural, job skills and forestry based programming. His strong communication and interpersonal skills combined with his business management and logistics experience provides a strong foundation for NPTC.


TRENT MORAES
Business Strategist

Trent brings important experience and skills with respect to political and community accountability. He served for 8 years as the Lands, Housing and Resource manager for the Skidegate Band Council and is a strong leader in community lead initiatives with partners ranging from other local municipalities to large corporate and governmental agencies such as BC Hydro and Indian and Northern Affairs Canada.


NIKA COLLISON
Supporting Team Member

Nika is currently the Director of the Haida Gwaii Museum. As a representative for the Haida Nation’s cultural values at the 2005/06 Haida Gwaii Land Use Community Planning Table her commitment to cultural integrity, most notably the respect given to the lands, waters and forests of Haida Gwaii, is paramount in our company’s vision and represents a cornerstone for NPTC.

JANINE WILSON
Supporting Team Member

Janine is a Skidegate community member and represents the core values of the very people we are working for. A mother to 3 children, she depends on the forest for all aspects of her life from recreation to sustenance and culture to economy. Because the forests of Haida Gwaii effect so much of Janine’s life she symbolizes one of the most important aspects of our company’s vision - a community member that depends on every aspect of a healthy forest for a healthy life.
